Overview of the Grant Accounting Role
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure funds are utilized in accordance with federal regulations and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Reviewing GL and contracts to identify discrepancies
- Preparing invoices and coding
- Preparing financial reports, budget restrictions, and compliance obligations.
Preferred Qualifications of Grant Accountant Role
- BA in accounting or a related field is a plus
- Previous job experience in grant non-profit accounting a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
