Responsibilities of the Non-Profit Accountant
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and allocations.
- Oversee post-award grant administration operations.
- Perform related accounting duties for grant management.
- Collaborate with finance staff on budgeting, compliance, and reporting.
- Work closely with the Finance Assistant and Executive Director.
- Focus on subrecipient management, ensuring effective communication.
- Demonstrate flexibility in handling various financial tasks.
- Contribute positively to efficiency and collaboration within a small team.
Preferred Experience of the Non-Profit Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 2+ years' experience in accounting.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in a Non-Profit(highly preferred)
