POSITION SUMMARY: The Recovery House Administrator, under the direction of the Behavioral Health Program Manager, is responsible for managing the daily operations of Their Home of Hope Recovery Houses, providing advocacy, multi-agency liaison, community support coordination, and assistance to the recovery home residents. The position is responsible for assisting the recovery home residents with meeting their needs and for ensuring the residents safety. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following) Maintains a peaceful and safe environment for residents living at the Recovery Homes. Prepares and facilitates, weekly house and staff meetings. Assists with updating policies and procedures to ensure safe operation. Attends all departmental meetings and recommended meetings. Collects data to assist with monthly reports. Facilitates conflict resolution with team members and residents. Inventories Recovery Home property and shops for household supplies. Maintains Recovery Home vehicles in working order and seeks repair as needed. Maintains Recovery Homes by acting as liaison between housing authority when repairs/maintenance is needed at the Homes. Conducts resident intake, release of information documentation, consent forms, and orientation. Assists with move-in procedures, GPRA collection, periodic room searches, bi-weekly drug testing of residents, planning and facilitation of events. Assists residents with transportation needs either through connecting them with sources of transportation or transporting them with company vehicles as needed. Maintains resident files by ensuring that all paperwork, including GPRA is complete and up-to-date. Identifies issues and makes recommendations to restore operations/compliance. Provides appropriate documentation for interactions with residents. Brings priority issues and concerns to the Behavioral Health Program Manager's attention. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following) Promotes the Recovery Homes in the community Updates team members of any issues. All other job- related duties as assigned. CONTACTS: Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, Board of Directors, clients/residents, outside vendor/service providers and Law Enforcement personnel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position light with lifting of 20 pounds and frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds. Physical factors include constant sitting, use of hearing, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, color/field of vision; frequent driving, typing; occasional standing, walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, kneeling, reaching, manual handling and bending. Working conditions include occasional exposure to weather, extreme heat/cold, wet/humidity, and noise and air quality. Potential hazards include constant client contact, computer use and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, insecticides, infectious exposure, needles/syringes and equipment use. Potential hazard also includes exposure to high risk and volatile situations. Personal protection equipment includes latex gloves, masks, and face shields when needed. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Associate's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field required or three years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of education. Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in the Human Services field required. Certifications/License: Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual driver's license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check. Must maintain a good moral character standing. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of Native American traditions and culture required. Must demonstrate understanding of dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault and dating violence and stalking, substance use and misuse, mental health disorders. Personal experience with recovery is preferred. Basic knowledge of judicial system and terminology required. Knowledge of inventory, report format creation and office systems required. Must have knowledge of facility/maintenance procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Dispute resolution skills required.Must have excellent organization skills, strategic planning and project management skills. Must maintain flexibility and patience in a potentially stressful situation. Must be able to handle client and public relations issues and concerns. Must work with individuals with a wide variety of purposes and backgrounds. Must be able to work with little to no supervision. Must have ability and willingness to investigate problems and recommend and implement corrective measures. Must be able to handle client service and public relations issues and concerns. Must be able to work with individuals and agencies with a wide variety of backgrounds. Must maintain privacy and confidentiality. Native American preferred. Sault Tribe
