We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Government Property Compliance Specialist for the LASSO II contract, supporting the Space Division at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This fulltime position manages inventory of government provided property. JOB DETAILS The ideal candidate is detailed orientated who monitors government provided equipment across the LASSO contract ensuring compliance with government property requirements. This position may require occasional overtime including weekend work depending on task. LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, Florida JOB STATUS: Fulltime TRAVEL: None REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline 7 years of related experience Current U.S. Citizenship is required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills required. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment. Must be able to coordinate work between multiple projects or tasks. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects without missing deadlines or sacrificing accuracy. Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision after initial training. Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint. Will be required to climb stairs to access equipment. Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing. Physical requirements are: sitting, walking, standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures. Position may require daily individual to travel to different areas on site and some occasional outside work. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure property is properly identified, reported, tagged and recorded in the appropriate database. Prepare and submit reports of Government property as required by the contract, including performance of and support to inventory activities. Report all incidents of equipment loss, or damage to the NASA. Process requests to excess obsolete and underutilized property. Work on other related tasks as assigned.
