Job Title: Government Cost Pricing Analyst

Location: Rockford

Job Type and Duration: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

This position is highly energetic requiring significant multi-tasking and exceptional communication skills across all aspects of the business. The Government Cost and Pricing Analyst will be responsible for assisting with maintaining the Company's cost accounting system and controls and using the resulting information for Company requirements such as proposals, customer inquiries, audits, etc.

Below are some of the responsibilities of this position:

Provide estimating, pricing, and negotiation support for Commercial and U.S. Government contract opportunities

Support customer requests for information related to contracts (current and proposed)

Provide guidance and compliance for government accounting, cost classifications and proposals (Commercial, Commercial Item and Certified Proposal Pricing)

Assist with review and approval of Proprietary Information Agreements

Review customer RFIs and RFQs

Provide guidance and compliance with Truth-in Negotiations Act (TINA)

Assist with the development of proposal bidding rates

Create proposal pricing volumes for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs by preparing line-item pricing, proposal support rationale, and documentation in accordance with customer requirements

Develop historical cost-based or standard product material and labor estimates on development, production follow-on and aftermarket proposals, receive functional organization proposal labor and material estimates, and convert direct charge material and labor to program or product costs for proposal incorporation

Assist with reviewing contract terms

Assist with data right classification and support contract data requirements submittals as needed

Participate in customer and government audits, fact finds, and negotiations

Participate with proposal and contract reviews with management

Participate in all aspects of contractual/financial planning, control, revenue/margin planning and forecasting

Assist functional organizations with contract compliance and supplier flow down requirements

Report profitability by customer/program

Assist with EAR and ITAR proposal and contract export requirements

Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures and controls

Assist with month-end financial close activities

Work collaboratively with various departments ensuring prompt submittal of documents/reports for internal and external customers

Become familiar with product technologies and production methods

Assure compliance to customer requirements

Maintain numerous online customer registrations

Other duties as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, financial management, business, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of costing/pricing experience in a regulated industry

Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat

Familiarity with aerospace or other regulated industry standards

Exceptional communication skills with a strong attention to detail

Exceptional problem solving, organizational skills, time management and presentation skills

Ability to perform research when needed to enhance the accuracy of cost and pricing data

Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work under pressure

Ability to work in a team environment or work independently

U.S. Citizen only (NO Dual Citizenship)

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in the aerospace industry

Thorough knowledge and training regarding Government contracting procedures and Federal regulations (CAS, FAR, DFAR, TINA, ITAR, etc.)

Ability to write the Cost/Price section of proposal responses

Must be familiar with the FAR and DFAR contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.)

Experience in writing RFI's and RFQ's

Project management experience

Knowledge of Aerospace and FAA documentation requirements

Knowledge of AS9100

Knowledge of aerospace traceability, configuration management techniques, and hardware control requirements.
