Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for a motivated leader to fill a Supplier Commodity Manager role to support the Remote Sensing Programs Business Unit in the Global Supply Chain organization. This role is located in Linthicum, MD . The Manager will be responsible to lead a team of Supply Chain professionals and manage the cost, schedule, and performance of suppliers within a portfolio consisting of printed wiring board, cable and connector, mechanical, foundry, and distribution suppliers. The candidate should possess strategic thinking abilities and project management skills to mitigate risks, improve costs, and gain efficiencies across the supply base. A technical understanding of PWB, cable and connector, mechanical, and/or foundry fabrication and manufacturing processes is preferred. An understanding of supply chain principles is required - Materials Management, MRP, Procurement, Subcontracts Management, Supplier Quality, and Production. Job Duties: Ensure supplier priorities are aligned with program needs, and programs receive regular updated status of orders, status of issues, and corrective actions being performed to resolve issues Develop and Execute Supplier Performance Management Plans (SPMP) to drive superior supplier performance and effective supplier oversight Provides robust leadership and regularly interfaces with Program GSC teams, Program Management and Supplier Mission Assurance Administer Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA's) to suppliers with performance issues, and manage plans to closure Partner with sector and cross-sector supply chain teams to develop more efficient supplier management plans Lead and motivate a team to drive positive results Employee goal setting, employee development, and merit planning Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 10 years of Supply Chain, Program Management, Operations Management, Engineering or closely related experience - OR - a Master's degree with 8 years of Supply Chain, Program Management, Operations Management, Engineering or closely related experience. Experience leading a team, either as a lead, program manager, functional manager, or matrix manager. Solid understanding of supply chain responsibilities and supply chain principles Ability to communicate with multiple levels internal to the organization and externally to suppliers Ability to create and foster enduring relationships internally and externally with suppliers Ability to work under limited supervision -no instructions needed on routine work, and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments Understanding of material sales forecasting and impact of late supplier deliveries Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret SCI security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite Exceptional writing skills, and the ability to present to executive leadership is required Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP Preferred Qualifications: Proven history of managing a portfolio of a critical supply base Demonstrated experience with developing complex agreements such as long term agreements, teaming agreements, strategic alliances, MOA's, overriding Terms and Conditions Currently possesses a Top Secret SCI security clearance Salary Range: $119,800 - $179,600 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
