Job Details

We are looking for a talented Global Payroll Operations Manager to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role manages payroll operations, it's responsible for the processing and auditing of multiple payroll cycles globally. Develops processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll payments and reporting in alignment with applicable policies, legislation, and internal controls procedures and monitors compliance. This is a hybrid role, candidates will be required to be in-office two to three days a week, or as needed.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Collaborate with a community of global payroll and time processing teams to ensure standard controls and processes.
  • Plan and implement improvements and provide input to a business case that help prioritize and balance stakeholder needs versus wants.
  • Develop a framework to monitor and report global payroll KPIs and trends.
  • Partner with the operations teams to identify improvement opportunities within the existing processes.
  • Responsible for auditing and reporting global compliance with local payroll tax and social insurance regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and manages procedures for the preparation, documentation and disbursement of payroll checks, taxes, accounting transactions and employee benefit payments; generates information for general ledger postings.
  • Manages the operational relationship with outside payroll service providers; manages system changes, upgrades, or government mandated changes to payroll.
  • Manages accurate and timely processing of year-end activities, including coordination with payroll services providers.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of payroll process documentation. Ensures payroll processing and accounting activities comply with internal and external audit requirements (SOX), and coordinates responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensures adequate internal controls on payroll systems and keeps current with compliance on new and existing tax and other payroll related legislation.
  • Leads the development of global financial and operational plans and monitors performance.
  • Coaches and mentors human resources team members.

Education:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience with payroll services, preferably ADP, in multiple international regions.
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating and managing service provider portfolios.
  • Own the global BCP (business continuity plan) for payroll and ensure annual test of the plan.
  • Ensure a customer centric focus to business process improvements.
  • Experience with large ERP payroll and time systems.
  • Six Sigma green belt certified is a plus
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to make connections across workstreams and the organization.
  • Ability to lead projects and motivate team participation.
  • Highly organized, confident, excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Multi-country transformation and international cross-time zone working experience (statutory, regulatory, and cultural)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
