Our company, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a seasoned Permanent Glazing Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in commercial glazing and a deep understanding of architectural and structural drawings. The successful candidate will have significant experience in glass curtain wall installations, bullet-resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing. This role requires a deep knowledge of building codes, blueprint interpretation, and project management. The incumbent will also have experience with a CRM, Dodge, ISqFt, and Microsoft Office. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage materials, project bidding, and cost analysis.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Glazing Estimator, you will be responsible for:
1. Providing detailed estimates for glass and glazing projects, including curtain wall installations.
2. Interpreting architectural and structural drawings to understand project requirements.
3. Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes.
4. Managing the installation of bullet-resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing.
5. Utilizing CRM, Dodge, and ISqFt to manage project data and communications.
6. Conducting cost analysis and project estimation to ensure project profitability.
7. Managing materials and project bidding processes.
8. Collaborating with project management teams to ensure project delivery within budget and timeline.
9. Assisting in the pre-construction phase, including planning and design.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Glazing Estimator role will have:
1. An Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in glazing estimation, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with glass curtain wall installations and commercial glazing.
4. Proficiency in interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
5. Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
6. Experience in bullet-resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing.
7. Familiarity with CRM, Dodge, and ISqFt.
8. Strong project management skills, including project estimation, cost analysis, and materials management.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Experience with construction drawings and construction estimating.
11. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
