Overview of the role: GL Accountant
- Processing daily cash entries.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and file accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & use tax.
- Has a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
Preferred Qualifications: GL Accountant
- 3+ years accounting experience preferred
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team and can multi-task while staying organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel functions
