Join Our Client's Team as a GL Accountant.
Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for an exciting opportunity to excel in your career? We're on the lookout for a meticulous GL Accountant to join our client's sports organization and play a key role in the financial operations. As a member of the team, you'll be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with audit preparations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities for the GL Accountant:
- Execute timely month-end accounting close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Contribute to the improvement of process workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with customer invoicing, credit, and collections to ensure timely payments.
- Support the weekly vendor payment process and assist with annual 1099/1042 preparation.
- Play a key role in the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules and assisting auditors as needed.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support the needs of the organization.
Education and Experience for the GL Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with knowledge of GAAP.
- Familiarity with working with various foreign currencies is a big bonus.
Required Skills and Competencies for the GL Accountant:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and database management skills preferred.
- Attention to detail is a must to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
