Position Title: Geriatric Nursing Assistant - GNA (Part-Time and PRN Shifts Available)

Part-Time Pay Rate: $19 - $24 Based on experience
PRN Pay Rate: $21 / hour

Schedule: Part-Time: 7:00am - 3:30pm, every Monday, Friday and every other weekend
PRN: Day (7:00am - 3:30pm) & Evening (3:00pm - 11:30PM)

Blakehurst is recruiting for a part-time hospitality focused Geriatric Nursing Assistant to join our team.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
  • Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
  • Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
  • Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
  • Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
  • Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
  • Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we ask about your vaccination status.
