We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generator Field Technician to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about energy, power systems, and have a knack for problem-solving. As a Generator Field Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and service of generator systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge power generation technology and contribute to a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on various types of generators, primarily Kohler generators.
• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing tools to determine the extent of repair required.
• Adjust, replace, and repair all series of generator sets and their components such as engines, alternators, transfer switches, control panels, and batteries.
• Carry out tests on generator components and systems to ensure the adequacy and performance of the generator.
• Provide emergency field service for generators, including troubleshooting and on-site repairs.
• Conduct customer training on the operation and maintenance of generators.
• Maintain detailed and accurate service reports, and update work status in the company's database.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and provide technical support to customers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Generator Mechanic, Generator Field Technician, or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Kohler generators and other generator systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of tools and equipment used in the repair of generators.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to generator sets.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer service mindset.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
• Availability for after-hours emergency calls and willingness to travel to client locations.
• Relevant certification or training in generator repair and maintenance would be an advantage.
