NVE is bidding new work at Rock Island Arsenal, IL and has an immediate need for a General Manager. The General Manager will lead a team of HVAC mechanics and boiler/chiller operators. Selected candidate should have experience managing a team of HVAC personnel.
Responsibilities:
- The General Manager (GM) is responsible for work performance and act as the central point of contact with the Government.
- The GM has full authority to act for NVE on all contract matters relating to daily contract operations.
- The GM shall have minimum of two (2) years' experience as a GM, Alternate GM, or similar position at a facility of similar size, scope, and complexity as Rock Island, i.e., steam and chiller system supporting 40+ buildings with 2.0 million square feet of space on 150 acres.
- Must be familiar with colling plants greater than 5,000 ton capacity
- The GM shall have a working knowledge of Army's work control system known as General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Army's Builder Sustainment Management System (BUILDER).
- Candidate must have a minimum of ten (10) years work experience.
The contract performs the following critical functions:
- HVAC operation and maintenance at historic Rock Island Arsenal;
- Demand Maintenance Orders (DMO)/service calls
- Project Work Orders (PWO)/IJO/IDIQ
- Hot water industrial heating
- Steam heating plant operations
- Boiler plant operations
- Chiller systems
- Equipment management
The GM reports directly to the NVE Vice President of Facility Operations.
