About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our 98-unit extended stay property within a larger 600-apartment complex in Fort Lauderdale. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of property operations, including guest experience, revenue management, distribution, and team leadership. This role requires a passion for hospitality, strong business acumen, and the ability to deliver exceptional results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of property operations, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, profitability, and efficiency
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue, occupancy, and distribution across various channels, working closely with the Distribution Manager and Revenue Management team
  • Lead and mentor a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, empowerment, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the Guest Experience Manager to develop and deliver personalized, memorable experiences for our guests, driving engagement and loyalty
  • Manage property finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control, to ensure the property meets or exceeds financial targets
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the property, working with the maintenance team to ensure all facilities, amenities, and guest rooms are in excellent condition
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, corporate housing providers, and local community partners
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
  • Analyze performance metrics and guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to drive results
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and enhance the guest experience
Ideal Background
  • 4-5 years of experience in hospitality management with a proven track record of success in leading extended stay or hotel properties
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in revenue management, distribution, and financial management
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with guests, colleagues, and partners
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with property management systems (PMS) and revenue management software
  • Familiarity with CloudBeds or similar property management platforms is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
