Position Description You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER (Combat Survivability Engineer) working in the Systems Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position will serve as a Subject Matter Expert who will be in charge of Naval Aviation capability development and sustainment as it pertains to Combat Survivability requirement development, processes, metrics, analyses, and reporting. The duty location for this position is Arlington, Virginia. Position Duties/Responsibilities You will manage the Naval Aircraft Combat Survivability Program (NACSP) RDT and E to address all relevant combat survivability technology (ballistic and directed energy vulnerability and susceptibility) development.
You will develop, improve, maintain and apply processes relating to the survivability of systems under NAVAIR cognizance or of substantial interest to NAVAIR.
You will assist in the preparation, planning and development of integrated logistics support plans for assigned systems.
You will organize and perform technical reviews to ensure adequate resources for assigned systems.
You will identify and solve a wide variety of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables and constraints.
You will deliver optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule and technology constraints.
You will analyze engineering project risks to develop solutions for system issues or malfunctions.
You will identify scientific and system engineering expertise or resources required to accomplish program or project objectives within allotted schedules.
