Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated General Dentist to join our diverse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, with a focus on adult/geriatric dentistry. This is a full-time position requiring 30 hours per week. If you have a passion for improving people's lives through their oral health, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients, including regular cleanings, root canals, surgical extractions, implants, and minor cosmetic dentistry procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized dental care plans for patients.
  • Perform patient screenings, examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
  • Perform dental procedures, such as extractions, fillings, and other general dental procedures.
  • Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, preventative dental care, and nutritional counseling.
  • Manage dental and medical emergencies by providing primary and secondary preventive and therapeutic care.
  • Maintain patient dental records.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry and participate in educational opportunities to maintain excellent knowledge of different dental procedures and the latest technologies.
  • Work closely with the dental hygienist and dental assistant.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) or similar degree that gives license to practice the profession.
  • Proven experience as a dentist for a minimum of 1 year.
  • In-depth understanding of various dentistry procedures.
  • Ability to perform a variety of dental procedures, including complex extractions and fillings.
  • Experience in adult/geriatric dentistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • A patient and friendly personality.
  • Professional license and clean malpractice history.
  • Flexibility to work during weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to use dental software for record keeping and digital x-ray processing.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to comply with all health and safety regulations, including sterilization rules and infection control.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
