Job Title: GCP DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a GCP DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with our development and operations teams to streamline our development workflows, enhance system reliability, and improve deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure changes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.

Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability in a cloud environment.

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.

Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Ensure compliance with security and governance policies and implement security best practices on the GCP platform.

Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, etc.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.

Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls on the GCP platform.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Associate Cloud Engineer.

Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, finance) with compliance requirements.

Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
