We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Fund Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to dive into the world of fund accounting, working with private equity and logistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accounting and administration of a portfolio of Private Equity, Real Estate and Securitization clients. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting, general ledger, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers.
2. Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and partner capital statements.
3. Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
4. Prepare various financial analyses and reports for senior management and external auditors.
5. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
6. Prepare and review all necessary internal and external financial statements.
7. Coordinate, prepare, and analyze complex monthly entries.
8. Review and implement improvements to the financial and accounting processes.
9. Coordinate with the investment teams and other internal stakeholders to gather information and understand the business rationale behind each transaction.
10. Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
11. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
12. Support the logistics team in managing inventory and supply chain financials.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fund accounting, private equity, and logistics.
3. Strong understanding of accounting theory and accounting experience with financial institutions.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. High proficiency in account reconciliation.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
8. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10. Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy in data compilation and analysis.
11. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment.
12. CPA or other related accounting professional certification is preferred.
