Job Details:
We are currently seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a critical role within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be expected to:

1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
2. Implement and maintain financial and administrative systems.
3. Prepare financial statements for internal and external use.
4. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
5. Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
6. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports or as needed.
7. Assist in the budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
8. Assist in tax preparation and filing activities.
9. Ensure the accuracy of business transactions and an organized, up-to-date accounting system.
10. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment strategy.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Full Charge Bookkeeper role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
3. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
4. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, and accounting software packages.
6. Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes.
7. Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
8. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
10. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred but not required.
