Overview American Fuels, LLC, a partner of H&K Group, Inc ., is currently seeking a Fuel Driver with a CDL B and Haz Mat Certification. The employee will drive tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or lubricating oil to customers . This position places an emphasis on reliability and attentiveness, as maintaining both a truck log and the trucks themselves are daily responsibilities that come along with the position. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and a strong communicator.

Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Drives truck into position to load at filling rack
- Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank
- Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded
- Drives truck to customer's premises
- Connects hose to tank and opens valves
- Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer
- Attaches ground wire to truck
- Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
- Loads and unloads truck
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
- Performs daily pre and post trip of vehicle
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
- Hazmat Certification
- Manual transmission experience
- Clean driving record
- Customer Service and Teamwork
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
- TWIC card
- Tanker Endorsement
- Experience delivering commercial and residential fuel
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
Physical Demands
