Duties As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER - TITLE 32, WG-5413-9, you will organize, administer and evaluate a segment of the fuels quality assurance program for the organization. Ensure responsibilities for product compliance inspections of all petroleum activities. Extract fuel samples and conduct appropriate tests. Conduct surveys and inspections of petroleum products. Advise supervisors on quality problems and corrective actions. Provide technical assistance to personnel to improve quality and enhance safety of equipment and workers. Prepare local operating procedures. Assist in managing fiscal resources for the quality assurance program. Direct, inspect, operate and maintain complete fuels distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer and issue both aviation and ground fuels. Operate petroleum products distribution equipment. Inspect systems for leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and inoperative components, and preform operator maintenance. Receive and transfer fuel by coupling and uncoupling hoses, closing and opening valves, starting and stopping pumps, monitoring gauges, meters and filter separators. Maintain hazardous waste management program. Operate special purpose design aviation and ground fuel tank truck vehicles used for fueling/defueling aircraft and ground fuels applications. Operate deadman control safety system and coordinate with personnel at the aircraft or receiving point. Operate, inspect and perform required maintenance and repair on 400-5,000 gallon cryogenic storage tanks. Troubleshoot, test, and repair mechanical & electrical systems and subcomponents. Maintain inspection and maintenance records. Perform quality control of cryogenic products. Assess, monitor and reviews assigned Self- Assessment Communicators utilizing the Management Internal Control Toolset program. Maintain a consolidated tool kit program. Plan, monitor and conduct On-The-Job Training for assigned Fuels Management Flight personnel. Use and assure proper fit of required safety equipment and personal protective equipment. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 18 months experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and overhauling fuel servicing vehicles. Experience initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems. Experience with the policies and procedures of operating and maintaining fuels facilities, such as an Air Force Service Station or a Liquid Oxygen (LOX) Farm.
