Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced nanny to join a warm and caring family full-time, with a start date for August or sooner for the right candidate, to care for their newborn baby. A nanny who is reliable, patience, trustworthy and wants to build a communicative relationship with parents will thrive in this role. Primary Responsibilities: Provide attentive and nurturing care for the newborn, including feeding, changing diapers, and engaging in stimulating activities to promote development growth. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the baby, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with the parents, providing regular updates on the baby's activities, needs, and milestones. Consistency in maintaining the baby's schedule is paramount. II. Minimum Requirements: In order to be eligible for the Nanny position, a qualified candidate must fulfill the following minimum requirements: Provide childcare in our home. Have a High School Diploma. Be at least 25 years of age. Be legally authorized to work in the United States. Have 3 plus years of childcare experience, including infant care, or related professional work experience (such as daycare, teaching, etc.) Successful completion of Mandated Reporter Training Successful completion of, or willingness to successfully complete car seat safety training prior to start date. Background check demonstrating suitability for this position caring for young children without supervision. Possess valid infant CPR, basic life support (BLS) and First-Aid Certifications or be willing to obtain or renew as a condition of hire. Proficient knowledge of home safety. Possess sound moral character and kind disposition suitable for caring for children of all ages without supervision. Be physically fit, energetic, agile, and dexterous. Provide proof of current vaccinations or titers including but not limited to Td or Tdap, MMR, HepA, HepB, PCV, influenza, COVID-19, polio, varicella. Handle age-appropriate care and responsibilities of the child including: diapering, putting the baby to sleep, bottle feeding, burping, sterilizing bottle and breast pump parts, assisting with transition to solid foods when age appropriate, bathing as needed, keeping the baby and nursery clean. Possess valid driver's license, with a clean driving record demonstrating proficient driving skills. Nanny must have own vehicle with valid auto insurance. III. Essential Job Functions: Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the infant Reliably and predictably attending work and being punctual. Safely bathing and dressing the infant Changing diapers and potty-training as age appropriate. Engaging in indoor and outdoor play. Feeding the infant as directed. This includes handling breast milk in bottles. Reading to the infant Administering medicine with parents' consent, if necessary. Performing light housekeeping such as dishwashing, tidying up, keeping the nursery organized, infant's laundry, changing crib bedding, sterilizing bottles and breast pump parts etc. Preventing harm to the child(ren), including but not limited to the ability to take swift action to prevent harm or remove children from potentially harmful circumstances. Lifting 25 lbs. Using hands and fingers to handle or feel. Standing/bending/stretching/reaching/kneeling/crawling, etc. Maintaining logs for the parents. Safely and legally operating a motor vehicle to carpool, to run errands or in case of an emergency. Must possess own vehicle with valid auto insurance.
