SNI has partnered with a leader in Global Logistics for an amazing opportunity as a Logistics Specialist, working cross functionally within multiple departments.
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be supporting various departments including Import/Export for Ocean and Air along with Domestic Trucking and Accounting. This opportunity immerses you in every aspect of the logistics industry and gaining a versatile knowledge/skill set.
Responsibilities:
- Tracking and tracing shipments for Air, Ocean and Domestic Trucking
- Prepare, handle and process documentation-including house and master bills of lading, commercial documents and customs/regulatory documents.
- Accurate data entry into AS400 system
- Spreadsheet data entry in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain compliance standards at all times - internal policies, government regulations and customer requirements.
- Provide department support and assist various department managers with ad hoc projects.
- Application process, data entry, monthly closing
- Billing support, handling and validating invoices
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years in Logistics/Freight industry
- Prior experience with SAP and AS400 a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills - ability to listen, comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
