Warehouse Personnel Position Summary
The shipping department is responsible for receiving materials and shipping finished goods. The overal l objective of this position is to pull parts for other employees to handle and/or package, as well as putting away stock and pulling orders for customers.
Essential Accountabilities - Increase process efficiencies by accurately pulling parts, putting orders together, putting back cancelled orders and/or check return orders in a timely fashion, and maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Build team atmosphere by offering assistance, when able, to fellow coworkers
- Increase revenue by properly tracking stock/inventory moving into the shipping area
- Improve process efficiencies by accurately pulling and shrink wrapping orders, managing stock and sending out orders on schedule.
- Foster a positive work environment by maintaining a clean and organized work space.
- Other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Education /Certifications - High School Diploma/GED
- Forklift license preferred
Experience - 1-2 years relative experience
Physical Demands/ Working Conditions Physical Requirement: Must have ability to lift and carry up to 7 5 lbs. Employee must be able to s it, climb or balance, hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms.
Working Conditions : Duties performed in a manufacturing plant environment: can be high heat, high humidity, and airborne particles.
Hours : Shifts vary and last 8 hours. Overtime required as needed.
