DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Forge Operator is responsible for operating the forge at the manufacturing plant. Specific responsibilities may include: Review shop order packet for procedural instructions. Perform and assists own setups. Check dimensions of parts and holds tolerance of plus or minus .001. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies. Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure conformance to product specifications and record QC data. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. Use of most types of inspection gages. Example ID/OD micrometers. Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives. Understand the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND TRAINING High school diploma or GED preferred. EXPERIENCE Five (5) plus years of experience in the manufacturing sector. Five (5) years of machinery experience. Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing. PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS Reasonable accommodations are made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Ability to lift to 65 pounds. Ability to work in a hot environment. Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day. Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements. Exposure to production environment. OTHERS Attention to detail. Produce error-free work. Deadline-oriented. Make sure that customers' requests come first. Self-starter who thinks of innovative, faster ways to accomplish tasks. Work with minimal supervision. Flexible and able to adapt to our dynamic environment. This is a 1st Shift position, working 5A-3:30PM.
