Food Service Worker

A school near the Gary, IN area is looking for reliable and hardworking Food Service Workers to add to their growing team.

This Food Service Worker role will be a pair of helping hands and responsible for hosting and serving guests as well as preparing and running food.

This is a 1st shift position, 9am to 2:30pm. Pay rate will start at $13/hour.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Prepare and serve a cafe menu

- Ensure all working areas are kept clean and tidy

- Provide excellent customer service to all guests

- Assist in setting up and serving food from counters and steam tables

- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations.

- Accurately enter and controlling all forms of guest payment, including operating the POS system

- Various duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Previous experience in the food industry

- Knowledge of food safety regulations

- Must have slip resistant shoes

- Must be a team player with a positive attitude

- Adaptability and willingness to learn

- Ability to work in a fast pace environment

- Must be able to comply with pre-employment screenings
