We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Food Safety and Quality Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety and quality programs. The ideal candidate is an expert in food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions will directly impact the quality and safety of our products.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement food safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulatory requirements.

2. Lead the FSQA team in maintaining GMP, SQF, and FDA standards, and manage the CAPA process to address any non-compliance issues.

3. Conduct regular audits of the manufacturing process, identifying areas of risk and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

4. Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure food safety and quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.

5. Train and mentor staff on food safety and quality protocols, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.

6. Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to food safety and quality, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the integrity of our brand.

7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in food safety and quality assurance, ensuring our programs and processes are current and effective.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.

2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in food safety and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of success.

3. In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations, including FSQA, GMP, SQF, CAPA, and FDA.

4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

8. Certification in food safety management or a related field would be a significant advantage.
