PURPOSE Serves as Installer for assigned department. Reports timely to project leader on site and performs tasks as needed/assigned. Adheres to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Travels between job sites as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Provides labor as flooring installer on projects as assigned. Represents the company in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner. Must be able to comprehend basic instructions. Willingness to ask for help when needed. Must be on-time to jobsites. Proficient working with all types of flooring, including by not limited to tile, wood, and carpet. Basic knowledge on leveling floors, including sanding. Have basic math skills. Install all types of flooring. Must be dependable, professional and safety conscious. Assumes responsibility for his/her own installation quality, correctness, and cost effectiveness on all assigned tasks. Develops a good process and "flow" on the jobsite, minimizes down-time, has areas completed before changing work assignments. Team Oriented-Cooperate with Ritsema field leaders in performing assigned tasks. Be willing to complete additional tasks as needed. Adapts easily to changing priorities. High quality standards - Inspects job quality and reports problems to Field Leader or Superintendent. Identifies and recommends solutions for improvements. Pays special attention to quality of their work. Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. This position requires being able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly, bending, kneeing, and twisting. This position also requires that the employee provide, maintain, and replace their own hand tools. Power tools and specialty tools will be provided by the employer.
