Your Role with the Company:


The Process Manager will have 4 Supervisors and 5 Lehr and Furnace Engineers reporting directly to him/her as well as 60 indirect hourly reports. He/she provides the necessary technical support and supervision to the Tank Department to attain o p t i m u m glass q u a li ty , maximize speeds and yields at the lowest possible cost. He/she is also responsible for maintaining employee safety and morale as well as the growth and development of all employees.



What you will be doing:


Coordinates the Tank Department activities with the Maintenance, Wareroom, Production Control and Quality Control departments to ensure the production of the highest quality glass.


Contributes to the preparation of the plant operating budget.


Attends department head meetings, general safety meetings, plant policy review meeting and plant goal review meetings.


Conducts weekly supervisory meetings. Meet with engineers and hourly team members to discuss matters that affect the operation of the Tank Department as well as the entire plant.


Reviews and analyzes various cost control and quality reports and takes corrective action for those activities in the Tank Department.


Continually searches for ways to improve equipment and processes at the plant.


Maintains an atmosphere of confidence and mutual respect among all employees within the Tank Department.
