In the RN (Registered Nurse) Float Pool position role, you will be supporting our Cleveland Clinic Nursing Institute. You will also be supporting different hospitals. A Registered Nurse in this role is familiar with complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support. Your primary duties will include:
•Providing direct nursing care.
•Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients' conditions as appropriate.
•Preparing patient care plans.
•Administering prescribed medications.
•Performing bedside hand-off reports and thorough bedside daily rounds. The ideal future caregiver is someone who:
•Can work independently.
•Is comfortable traveling to a new place and working with different people every day.
•Is flexible enough to work variable shifts and at different hospitals (only one hospital per shift).
•Can provide emotional, spiritual, and psychological support to patients. Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
Certifications:

- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
