Position: Fleet Auto Parts Sales Business Development Manager
Location: McCook Illinois
Job Description:
This position is dedicated to soliciting and developing Distributor/Fleet/New Car Dealer
Channel Accounts, with a primary focus on selling car parts and accessories to fleet
customers. The incumbent will manage customer accounts and drive sales growth
within the assigned fleet sales channel, specifically targeting automotive parts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Distributor/Fleet/New Car Dealer
Channel Accounts, with a specific emphasis on fleet customers.
Coordinate product offerings and marketing messages tailored to the needs of
fleet customers in the automotive parts industry.
Achieve sales and gross profit objectives by influencing a matrixed organization
and collaborating with regional National/Special accounts sales managers.
Position is primarily responsible FMP's value proposition for the
Distributer/Fleet/New Car Dealer channels this means: coordination of product
offerings, consistent marketing messages, development of appropriate customer
service levels and both internal and external training
Proactively collaborate with FMP Marketing department in the development of
sales and marketing programs to support our strategy and motivate the sales
team to both educate and motivate customers to buy from FMP.
Develop sales tools and strategies to overcome obstacles and differentiate our
value proposition from competitors in the fleet market.
Collaborate with the Marketing department to develop sales and marketing
programs tailored to fleet customers in the automotive parts industry.
Ensure that Customer Service and General Managers are aligned with the value
proposition and informed of product promotions and sales objectives specific to
fleet customers.
Negotiate pricing and develop business plans to conquest new lines and
opportunities within the fleet automotive parts sector.
Participate in vendor shows and sales presentations to promote Factory Motor
Parts as a preferred supplier of automotive parts and accessories to fleet
customers.
Monitor business performance, address issues, and implement promotions to
stimulate sales within the fleet customer segment.
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of Sales experience within one or all of the Distributer/Fleet/New Car
Dealer Automotive Parts industry.
2+ years of experience with routine Cold Calling of potential
Distributer/Fleet/New Car Dealer clients to develop business.
Demonstrated ability in problem solving and negotiation with special emphasis
on closing sales.
Strong relationship building skills
Ability to conduct business in a professional manner with both internal and
external customers.
Qualifications:
Proven track record of successful business development and sales in the
automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven
decisions.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Work Environment:
Primarily field-based position.
Some overnight travel may be required.
Regular computer and cell phone communication from the field.
