Your primary focus will be managing our fixed assets while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will be an integral part of our finance team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive financial success.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire fixed asset process, including maintaining the fixed asset sub-ledger, recording acquisitions and disposals, and calculating depreciation for all fixed assets.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, focusing on fixed assets.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile results with the fixed asset register.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and audits, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with the operations team to track and monitor capital projects.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the fixed asset accounting process.
• Provide support and training to other team members on fixed asset procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting, is required.
• Proficiency in fixed asset accounting is essential.
• Experience with Plex, SAP, or a similar ERP system is required.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial statement preparation is needed.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting regulations is essential.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
