Inspection and Maintenance: Schedule and conduct routine inspections and maintenance of fire suppression systems to ensure they are in proper working condition. This includes inspecting valves, pipes, alarms, and other components, as well as performing necessary repairs or replacements.

Code Compliance: Stay updated on local, state, and national fire codes, regulations, and industry standards related to fire suppression systems. Ensure that all installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant codes and obtain necessary permits and approvals as required.

Vendor and Contractor Management: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to procure equipment, materials, and services required for fire suppression system installations and maintenance. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts as needed.

Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for building owners, property managers, and other stakeholders regarding fire suppression system-related inquiries, concerns, and issues. Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure the safety and effectiveness of fire protection measures.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements in the installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems. Stay informed about advancements in fire protection technology and best practices.

Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations involving fire suppression systems, such as system malfunctions, false alarms, or actual fire incidents. Coordinate with emergency responders and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of occupants.

Requirements

- Secret Clearance; US National; Must be NICET Level II certified.

- Minimum 10 year's experience;

- High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Manages the fire alarm detection maintenance program for facilities.

- Has the overall responsibility for the maintenance and management of fire alarm systems.

- Responsible for the development of a maintenance, test and inspection program, compliant with DOD and NFPA regulations.

- Develop a scope of work required for system repair, maintenance or expansion of alarm systems. Oversee work for system repair, maintenance or expansion, ensuring equipment provided and installed complies with the current NFPA standards and the National Electrical Code.

- Plans and directs lead alarm technicians work load, performs quality assurance checks providing written reports to fire management. Supervises and documents acceptance testing of fire alarm systems. Coordinates work schedule and requirements with supervisors, schedules appointments for testing repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems with facility custodians. May require formal training on relevant Automated Information Systems (AIS).
