Finishing Engineer

Direct hire opportunity available with our client for a Finishing Engineer.

This role is open to entry level to more experienced candidate with 5 or more years of machining process experience.

As a Finishing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and leading projects, process development, and work groups to enhance the performance of our finishing equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems, optimize processes, and ensure the highest level of product quality.
Essential Duties

Support and lead projects related to finishing equipment improvement and optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to process challenges.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with finishing equipment and develop effective solutions.

Conduct process development and improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Utilize your mechanical engineering expertise to analyze and optimize machining processes.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Maintain documentation and records related to equipment performance and modifications.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in finishing and machining processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Entry-level candidates to 5 or more years of experience in a relevant engineering role.

5+ years of machining process experience is a strong advantage.

Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for process improvement.

Proficiency in engineering software and tools.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

French and/or Portuguese proficiency is a plus
