Finishing/Bindery Manager

The company is very cutting edge and like people who see a future in printing. They are adding new equipment to handle the extra work of die cutting, folding, gluing, trimming and binding.

They run quality work with high color and a variety of run lengths and finishes. They run 2 shifts so the role with have 2 production managers answering to them with shift managers, leads and operators making up 200+ employees. As Finishing/Bindery Manager you will need to discuss how you manage- Manage and coordinate activities of personnel in manufacturing.

Manage the daily production schedules in all of manufacturing coordinating the off shift activities with the respective shift supervisors. Coordinates activities with maintenance to complete required machine maintenance and repair. Review and answer issues concerning quality or functionality of product as it is being produced and inspected.

Review raw material components and supplies and send order requested to accounting for processing. Track and review waste from production process to ensure efficient material use. Count raw material and work-in progress for month end inventory if needed.

Complete basic human resource duties such as vacation approval and employee evaluations. Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel. The company is growing and looking to add 30% volume in the next 18 months and they need to add a leader with the experience to help them expand and streamline their operation where possible.
