Job Summary: The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. This role is crucial for maintaining our financial health and achieving our long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to create realistic and achievable financial plans.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances, and providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Manage cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and payable, to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely and accurate submission of audit information.
  • Implement and maintain accounting software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, including capital investments, cost reduction efforts, and new business opportunities.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
