Overview of the Financial Analyst Role

  • Create, improve, and maintain financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making
  • Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analysis and financial modeling for a variety of business initiatives and new business models
  • Build, manage, and automate business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction.
  • Develop financial and operational metrics, drive adoption of those metrics, and help influence the business based on those metrics.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, write financial documents, build comprehensive tables/reports and support cross functional projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or a related analytical field
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related field experience
  • Experience with Oracle and SAP a plus

Senior Accountant

Overview :

We are looking for a senior accountant with expertise in reconciliations to join our finance team at a wholesale distribution company. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, exceptional problem solving abilities and a passion for streamlining processes.

This role will be pivotal in addressing a significant backlog of reconciliations, identifying solutions, and implementing proficient processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs and reviews month-end closing activities.
  • Analyzes financial information to provide insight to management and to ensure material accuracy.
  • Oversees the balancing and posting of corporate financial data from multiple systems into the general ledger in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls related to accounting and reporting. Responsible for ensuring adequate internal controls within accounting and works with other teams to ensure adequate controls exist for processes that impact accounting.
  • Proactively identifies inefficient processes; initiates, develops, and implements process improvements.
  • Analyzes and reconciles complex balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Accountable for reconciling and posting complex accounting transactions.
  • Identifies issues and brings inconsistencies to the attention of management. Takes ownership and drives development and implementation of solutions.
  • Participates in and drives ad hoc projects and assignments as needed.

Preferred Qualifications for Senior Accountant :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field a plus.
  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of reconciliations efficiently and accurately.
