Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst III to join our team in Marietta, GA. The Senior Accounting & Financial Analyst will have responsibility for preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, monthly financial reporting and monthly reporting package related to one or more the the Motorsports product groups. Support development of mid and long term business plans.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with corporate accounting to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements for the division and assist in the development of the annual and semiannual budgets.
  • Co-develop and maintain the division Mid Term Plan (MTP) from a financial perspective.
  • Work with the IS Department for future system requirements, process improvements to ERP and various other systems.
  • Assist with, developing, maintaining, reconciling and auditing all the planning and analysis activities.
  • Responsible for managing budget/MTP financials for select MTS product groups.
  • Coordinate development and report yearly budgets, revised budgets, and monthly forecasts/long term forecasts to senior manager team.
  • Train cost center mangers in development of cost center management including development of comprehensive track and trace systems.
  • Manage process of preparing financial reports and accounting statements for senior management with explanations of variances derived from discussions with responsible party.
  • Audit financials for irregularities and recommend changes
  • Assist managers in developing revenue and expense budgets and understanding financial reports.
  • Support MTS Managers in ad hoc financial improvement projects.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries for close.
  • Prepares support for mid-year and year-end divisional audit schedules.
  • Ability to create and present project proposals, results and updates to management.
  • Manage budget and MTP process for MTS. Calculate and verify certain financial assumptions and create accrual journal entries including retail. Formulate and develop financial forecasts based on actual data. Manage MTS cost center managers with financial information to improve costs and financial profitability.
What you need to be successful
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required.
  • Masters degree and CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum 4 years of previous analyst/accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of mainstream Accounting systems is required; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Must be highly proficient with reporting and analysis tools and methodologies.
