Position Details:

The hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. The position is also posted as Financial Analyst 1 (Job ID ). Applicants are strongly encouraged to review both positions to determine the best match for their skills and experience. All applicants will be assessed based on the minimum requirements for the level(s) for which they applied. The full salary range for the Financial Analyst 2 is $59,000 - $103,400 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable university policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.



Education

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. (Required)


Experience Requirements
  • 2 - 4 years of related experience. (Required)


Minimum Requirements

Some knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems. Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills. Ability to function as a member of a team. Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information, organizes, and performs basic financial analysis assignments. Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports. Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
