Finance Systems Project Manager

Opening with our client for a IT Finance Project Manager. 6 month contract to start. Onsite in Canonsburg, PA.

As a Finance Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation of finance technology projects, including SAP integration with GIS, credit and deduction management systems, process automation, and Concur systems. Your expertise will be crucial in leading the creation and maintenance of project management plans, ensuring project scope, assumptions, risks, and approach are well-defined and executed across multiple projects, with a particular focus on ERP projects.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage finance technology projects from initiation to completion.

Develop and maintain project management plans that clearly define project scope, objectives, assumptions, risks, and approach.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Provide guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring project goals are aligned with organizational objectives.

Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project management function.

Act as a subject matter expert in finance technology applications and ERP projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

PMP certification is strongly preferred or a minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with a focus on finance technology applications and ERP projects.

Ability to learn and understand Treasury, Tax and other various Finance IT applications

Knowledge of general Finance and Business Processes (Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation, Account Payable, etc.)

In-depth knowledge of SAP integration with GIS, credit and deduction management systems, process automation, and Concur systems preferred

Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.
