We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Systems Manager to join our dynamic finance team. As the Finance Systems Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our global financial systems. The role is being recruited during the process of an ongoing finance transformation project. As such, this presents the successful candidate with an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved at a critical period of change for the function, and to assist in shaping the future of finance.

The ideal candidate will be client centric with a great attitude focused on user support and be willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. They will have a strong background in financial systems (including but not limited to ERP, CRM and practice management systems), process documentation and improvement, end user training and a comprehensive understanding of global financial operations.

The Finance Systems Manager will be a key member of the team and report directly to the Head of Group FP&A and Corporate Development. This role works closely with business leaders, functional heads, and the finance team across the regions. We will grow a team to support this role as required.

Location
Washington, DC (hybrid with a min. of 3 days per week in the office)

Responsibilities
  1. System Oversight and Optimization:
  • Manage and optimize the performance of the firm's global finance systems.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance global finance systems to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions
  • Implement best practices to enhance system efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  1. Integration and Automation:
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams to understand specific requirements and ensure the successful integration of systems across different geographies.
  • Work closely with IT teams to develop and maintain integration protocols, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate finance systems with other business applications, fostering seamless data flow and minimizing manual interventions.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline financial processes, reducing turnaround times and increasing overall productivity.
  1. User Training and Support:
  • Develop and deliver training programs, including onboarding, to educate on the effective use of the systems.
  • Provide continuing support to resolve system-related issues.
  • Provide on-going training and support to users globally, ensuring they are proficient in using systems and can leverage their full capabilities (both finance and the broader firm).
  1. Data Management and Compliance:
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of data within the systems, and proactively manage remediation and corrections as needed.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies to maintain data quality standards.
  1. Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with software providers to stay informed about updates and new features.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to optimize the functionality of finance systems.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend system upgrades and enhancements.
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with finance teams, IT, and other relevant stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Act as a key liaison between finance and global teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience managing finance systems, preferably in a global or multinational company
  • Bachelor's degree in in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience. A master's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial concepts and key financial metrics
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and perform complex analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in financial data
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively convey complex financial concepts to stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in systems support roles with outstanding ability to build rapport with users
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful system implementations and optimizations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage Intacct), practice management systems (e.g. Scoro) and FP&A software (e.g. Datarails)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills as well as in data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., SQL, Azure, Alteryx, Power BI).
  • Flexibility of being onsite (hybrid) in Washington DC, with travel to other DGA locations as required
