The Finance Manager team provides timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions, and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to our internal and external clients. The Finance team is comprised of Business Intelligence, Financial Planning and Analysis, Finance Systems, Finance Operations, Group Financial Reporting, Tax Planning and Compliance, and Treasury.
Key responsibilities
- Manage activities of financial accounting and month-end activities, including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, disbursement payments, credit card and merchant facilities, employee claims, and credit control.
- Ensure effective cash management by forecasting cash flow, identifying pinch points, monitoring outstanding bills and client payment timeframes, and ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet cash requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial global policies and maintain robust internal control systems and operational processes for audit review.
- Collaborate with the LATAM Regional Managing Partner and Business Services managers to prepare annual budgets in accordance with global timetables.
- Act as a business partner to the LATAM Regional Managing Partner and the local Managing Partners, providing financial support to maximize profitability across the region, including provision of financial information and advice.
- Manage the year-end audit and reviews of relevant countries. Communicate with external accountants and auditors in order to comply, ensuring compliance with local statutory, regulatory, and professional requirements, and overseeing the regulatory and financial end-of-year audits.
- Act as a Trusted Advisor by building relationships across all business services teams to ensure a consistent approach and service
Required experience
- Previous experience as a Senior Finance Manager or Finance Manager supporting the LATAM region within a global company.
- Experience working with international law firms or professional services companies would be ideal.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- CPA Preferred.
- Experience in finance systems, preferably Elite 3E.
- Previous experience in a multi-currency environment.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
