Key Responsibilities of the Finance Coordinator:

  • Lead the development and preparation of the annual budget, aligning with Texas Government and Property Tax Codes.
  • Evaluate departmental budget submissions, offering recommendations for revenue projections and resource utilization.
  • Prepare comprehensive budget documents, presentations, and reports for review and approval.
  • Monitor budget execution throughout the fiscal year, providing regular updates and analysis to the Finance Director.
  • Manage financial aspects of finance programs within the organization, including forecasting, financial reporting, and budget monitoring.
  • Work with departments to gather project estimates, budget projections, and funding sources for projects.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to track project expenses and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
  • Prepare financial analyses and projections for capital projects, assessing funding sources and financing options.
  • Monitor project progress, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and timelines.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making related to budgeting, capital investments, and long-term financial planning.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, graphs, and presentations for senior management.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to enhance accountability and transparency.

Finance Coordinator Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and budget management.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present financial data accurately.
