Morgan Distributing, Inc. is an ExxonMobil Lubricant Distributor headquartered in Decatur, Illinois with 3 additional locations in Fairfield, Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Valparaiso, IN.

We are currently seeking a Field Technician in Decatur, Illinois.

The Field Technician will follow the planned equipment installments or repairs assigned by the Equipment Supervisor. This position will interact with customers, staff and vendors regarding all installs and repairs. MDI will provide training in all aspects associated with the service department. This position will also have the opportunity to get certified in Propane by the IPGA (Illinois Propane Gas Association).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow daily schedules jobs for equipment installation and repairs prepared by the Equipment Supervisor.
  • Stage equipment replacement parts, and/or complete tank installation according to schedule work requests.
  • Fuel and Propane deliveries according to seasonal needs.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install/repair equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent mechanical repair skills.
  • The ability to work in all types of weather.
