Job Description Job Description Summary:

The Field Specialist is responsible for providing care for our clients as needed during their assigned schedule. This position is responsible for starting new cases, filling in for current caregivers, training new employees, and being a mentor to our field team. The Field Specialist will be expected to go to all assigned shifts in any location within the BrightStar Care territory including the BrightStar Care office.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Provide client care as directed by the Branch Manager or Client Care Manager.
  2. Must be willing to travel throughout our entire service area
  3. Must be available for 8-hour segments of time a minimum of 5 days per week
  4. Must be opening to serving any type of patient population (children, adults, seniors, variety of diagnosis)
  5. Must be willing to help with any length shift
  6. Must be able to work around pets and in all home environments (smokers, etc.).
  7. Must have reliable car and be opened to transporting client if needed
  8. Must follow dress code and rules set forth in the facilities we work in
  9. Must have a reliable cell phone for mobile documentation and return calls promptly (within 30 minutes) for last-minute fill-ins during stated availability.
  10. Must be willing to help in office or with other administrative duties if needed (complete introductions, answer phones, organize) if no client shifts are available.
  11. Serve as mentor for new caregivers in client homes.
  12. Perform additional training for caregivers in client homes.
  13. Assist with Caregiver competency assessments in the office.
  14. Promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a client s care by adhering to brand standards.
Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  3. Licensed driver with automobile insurance
  4. Effective oral and written communication skills
  5. Ability to work in all home environments (pets, smoking, etc.)
