Position Summary: As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a crucial role in delivering top-notch service and support to our clients. Our company is a leading provider of superior shot blasting equipment and surface preparation solutions, catering to thousands of customers across a wide range of industries. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • On-Site Support: Travel extensively within West Coast to provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for our state-of-the-art shot blasting equipment and surface preparation systems.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Repairs and Upgrades: Perform necessary repairs, replacements, or upgrades to restore equipment functionality and optimize performance, ensuring our clients experience minimal downtime.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance activities to proactively identify and address potential issues, prolonging the lifespan and efficiency of our equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including detailed reports on diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts used. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal teams and clients.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service throughout the entire service process. Manage client expectations, communicate clearly, and promptly resolve any concerns or escalations.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with internal teams to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned, contributing to the continuous improvement of our service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Job Qualifications: Required:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or relevant trade school education is preferred.
  • Work Experience: Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or a similar role, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues. Familiarity with complex systems and equipment.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric approach. Ability to manage client relationships, understand their needs, and provide effective solutions.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently in a field service environment.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to think creatively to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Availability: Willingness to travel extensively within regions, including nights and weekends. This role offers great overtime pay that includes double and triple time.
Preferred:
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with shot blasting equipment, surface preparation solutions, or related industrial technologies.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in areas such as electrical, mechanical, or automation systems.
Physical Requirements: This position requires physical mobility, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds). It also involves working in various environments, including manufacturing facilities and client sites.
