Job description:

We are looking for a dependable person with good mechanical, electrical, and controls aptitude including problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. The selected candidate will work independently and knows when to ask for support. This person must have good communication skills in identifying and accurately describing technical challenges to internal team members and customers. Must be able to work under pressure and communicate professionally and effectively with customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel in company provided truck up to a three-hour radius to customer's locations for preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment
  • Conduct analysis of mechanical equipment, electrical, motors, ignitors, airflow systems, burners, drives and control systems in the field to achieve optimum performance.
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Approximately 10% travel to adjacent territory when co-worker technician is on vacation or needs help with a larger system.

Qualifications:
  • Hands on
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with big motors, moving fans, and fan belts.
  • Understanding of air flow, temperature testing, drive belts, exhaust systems, air intake systems and fans.
  • Basic electrical knowledge of controls.
  • Understanding of electrical theory, knowing electrical flow and current flows.
  • Burner and heat transfer experience a plus.
  • Experience with VFD a plus
  • Associates degree or 5 years of related experience
