Job Title: Field Project Controls Lead - Industrial Plant Modernization
Location: Decatur, IL
Duration: 18 Months (with possible extension)
Pay rate: $60/hr. to $69/hr.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Field Project Controls Lead for an Industrial Plant Modernization project in Decatur, IL. This lead-level position requires expertise in planning, scheduling, cost analysis, risk assessment, and client coordination. The successful candidate will have extensive Primavera experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Per Diem: $143.75/day available for professionals residing more than 50 miles from Decatur.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Controls: Independently apply advanced project controls techniques and analyses with minimal supervision.
- Planning & Scheduling: Lead planning and schedule preparation, including startup planning. Address contractual requirements related to schedule control.
- Cost Analysis: Achieve a high level of forecasting accuracy. Address contractual requirements related to cost control.
- Risk Assessment: Recognize critical issues and participate in key risk management discussions.
- Client Coordination: Confer with the project management team on project execution matters.
- Change Management & Claims: Participate in and possibly lead change management discussions and address potential claims issues.
- Subcontract Administration: Supervise subcontract administration when assigned.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced project control and project personnel.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master's degree or local equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- Four-year Bachelor's degree with eight or more years of relevant Cost Control or Planning and Scheduling experience.
- No Bachelor's degree required with ten or more years of relevant Cost Control or Planning and Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of Primavera experience.
- Previous construction experience preferred.
Rate/Salary: $60/hr. to $69/hr.
