About the Role:

The NetApp Field Engineer I will be responsible for in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of NetApp storage systems across various customer locations. This role demands expertise in areas including NetApp, Security, Cloud solutions, and Networking.

What You'll Do:
  • Deliver and set up turnkey NetApp storage systems ready for data migration or advanced software configurations.
  • Perform regular onsite checks and system upgrades to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Implement disaster recovery solutions and high-availability systems, including asynchronous and synchronous mirroring.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and managers, sharing best practices to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Engage effectively with customers to deliver quality results that meet their specific program requirements.


What We're Looking For:
  • Skilled in configuring current NetApp infrastructures, including on-premise, hybrid, and cloud solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of FAS, AFF, & E-Series hardware, ONTAP
  • Experience with OnCommand Insight, Cloud Products (CVO), NetApp BlueXP, StorageGrid and switch to switchless conversions (Cisco, Broadcom, Nvidia).
  • Experience with controller upgrades (head swaps)
  • Cisco/Brocade networking experience.
  • Familiarity with public clouds such as AWS, Azure.
  • Scripting skills - Python, PowerShell, etc. are a plus


Experience:
  • 2 to 3 Years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have expertise in analyzing complex computer systems and ability to custom design and develop systems to meet customer needs
  • Understanding of Data Center computer systems fundamentals to include networking communication equipment (hubs, switches, routers), storage arrays and cloud-based concepts


Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing and implementing NetApp storage solutions.
  • Strong skills in networking, virtualization, and UNIX/Linux systems.
    Excellent problem-solving capabilities, able to work independently and within team environments.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to client site
  • Certifications:
    NS0-162 NetApp Certified Data Administrator, ONTAP
    NS0-184 NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer, ONTAP (NCSIE ONTAP
  • Desired: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing & Switching, Cloud, or Data Center , VMware VCP
