Our Construction Field Supervisor assists in managing, leading, and coordinating directional drill teams boring fiber optic lines. This role reports directly to the District Construction Manager and works closely with Team Leads, Project Managers and Quality Control Technicians.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and report on team progress with fiber construction buildouts to meet performance goals
- Communicate with Project Managers to ensure materials are available for ongoing and upcoming projects
- Manage resources to make sure work is planned and executed efficiently
- Assist in investigating damage reports
- Work in the field alongside fiber crews, backfilling for construction team members when needed
- Comprehend fiber blueprints and 811 tickets with the ability to problem solve as issues arise
- Advise team leads on proper procedures and ensure safety requirements are met
- Participate in training for new hires and current employees
- Collaborate with the Shop Mechanic on scheduling equipment maintenance
- Communicate with residential customers when needed
- Plan restoration work around completed drilling sections
- And other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements and Positives:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid State driver's license, including an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company.
- CDL A preferred
- Minimum of 12 months experience with HDD/Telecommunications
- Leadership experience preferred
- Experience with: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Experience with ArcGIS and Irth Solutions is considered a plus.
- Actual field experience may be considered equivalent to and possibly more important than formal education
